A Family of Bloggers

Seems blogging is contagious. Not only did I get my flatmate and neighbour upstairs to start a blog of their own; my father, bless him has also started one.

Here's my pop's musings on the world.

On top of that, my brother, clever boy that he is, has just created his own website. He's an actor (and a very talented one at that, I might add. Ok, I might be a wee bit biased!) He's using the website as an extended portfolio and showreel. If you are a Hollywood casting agent and you happen to be blog surfing right now, check him out - he's fab!

Finally - and I find this to be really amazing - a new blog from a good friend of my brother's.

Jonathan is a theatre director and a budding film maker. He was round at my mum's house the other night and the conversation inevitably turned to the current crisis in Israel. Jonathan is not Jewish, nor has he got any particular connection to Judaism, or Israel - other than my family I guess. It was Jonathan's place we went to for the 'mock' second night seder (see my earlier post - "Passover... with a difference")

Jonathan is so incensed and upset about how Israel is being vilified in the media that he has decided to fly to Israel on Monday and make a documentary. He is going to spend 28 days there - a country he has never been to, and really, knows very little about. I find this to be an absolutely extraordinary act of passion and bravery. Not brave because he is heading into a "war zone" but brave because he is one man who cares enough about the world to make a difference. Please track his incredible journey.

All about Solid Gold Dancing in the Holy Land

I started this blog in April 2006 essentially on a whim because I was bored one day (big mistake). As time went on and the countdown to my return to Israel really began, the blog began to take shape, form and meaning (some of the time). I realise that it has become an outlet for my many varied and often jumbled emotions, but most of all it is tracking the adventure of a lifetime. Bookmark me and come along for the ride!
